When should I book a doula in Kelowna?+
Ideally in your first or second trimester. I take on a limited number of families each month so I can be genuinely on call for each one, and due dates fill early, especially in spring and summer.
Which hospitals do you attend?+
Kelowna General Hospital most often, as well as Vernon Jubilee Hospital and Penticton Regional Hospital. I also support home births and births with midwives throughout the Okanagan.
Does a doula replace my doctor or midwife?+
No. Doula support is non-medical: continuous emotional, physical and informational support that works alongside your medical team, never in place of it. After 400+ births, I know how to work with your care providers, and the local L&D teams know and welcome me.
What does a doula cost in Kelowna?+
My support is a premium, limited-availability service, and investment is discussed on your free consultation call, where you can also ask me anything about your birth. There is never any pressure to book.
Can you also photograph my birth?+
Yes. I'm an award-winning birth photographer, and many families book my combined doula + birth photography package: one trusted person for both your support and your birth story.
