Gentle bereavement photography by Krista Evans, Kelowna

Bereavement Photography

For the babies who came and could not stay. Gentle photographs, whenever you are ready.

If you are reading this page in the middle of the hardest days of your life: I am so deeply sorry. And I am here.

Remembrance photography is quiet, unhurried and entirely led by you. Some families want only tiny details, like hands, feet, or a blanket made by grandma. Some want every moment they have. There is no right way, and nothing has to be decided now.

I have walked beside grieving families before, in hospital rooms across the Okanagan, and I share one family's journey, Ashley's Story: A Story of Loss and Light, with their blessing, for parents who need to know they are not alone.

These photographs may feel impossible to imagine wanting today. Families who have them describe them, later, as the most precious things they own.

Please reach out any time, day or night. If you are currently at the hospital, ask your nurse to contact me directly; the local care teams know me.

Support beyond photographs

Grief needs more than images. I can connect you with local pregnancy and infant loss support, counselling resources, and other Okanagan families who have walked this road. You will not be handed a gallery and left alone.
