Hospital birth photography depends on one thing above all: whether the care team is comfortable with you in the room. After ten years and 400+ births, Kelowna's L&D teams know me. Many nurses are genuinely glad to see me walk in. That trust is why my access, and my images, go where few others can.

When does birth photography coverage start?+
I go on call for you from 38 weeks, day and night. I join you in active labour and stay through delivery and the first golden hour, however long your birth story takes.
Are cameras allowed at Kelowna General and other Okanagan hospitals?+
Policies vary by hospital, situation and care team. This is where my decade of relationships matters. I'm a known, trusted presence at Kelowna General, Vernon Jubilee and Penticton Regional, and I work respectfully within each team's comfort. I've been welcomed where most cameras are not.
What if I have a cesarean birth?+
My own daughter was born by emergency cesarean, and it's the birth that brought me to this work. Where the OR team allows, I document cesarean births with particular tenderness. Where cameras can't go, I capture everything around that moment: the waiting, the first meeting, the first feed.
How intimate are the photographs, and what will people see?+
That's entirely yours to decide. Before your birth we'll talk through your comfort levels and boundaries, and your gallery is private. Nothing is ever shared without your explicit permission.
What does birth photography cost in Kelowna?+
Birth photography is a premium on-call service, and investment is discussed on your free consultation call. Many families pair it with doula support in my combined package.
