The Support and the Story
My signature experience: a seasoned birth doula and an award-winning birth photographer, one trusted person, already in the room.
Book a Free ConsultationYou can't be two places at once on the biggest day of your life. I can.
Most families have to choose: hire a doula for the support, or a photographer for the memories, and invite two near-strangers into the most intimate room of their lives. I'm the rare person who is deeply experienced at both, and the one many Okanagan hospital teams will happily welcome in both roles.
One trusted presence
By the time you're in labour, I already know your birth plan, your fears, your partner, your humour. There's no photographer arriving as a stranger, just the person you've been preparing with for months, camera in hand.
Support always comes first
This is the promise of the package: the doula work never pauses for a photo. The camera comes up in the quiet in-between, and after 400+ births, I know exactly when those moments arrive.
Access few photographers get
Hospital birth photography lives and dies on trust with the care team. My decade of relationships at Kelowna General, Vernon Jubilee and Penticton Regional means I've been welcomed where most cameras aren't.

Package FAQs
Can one person really be doula and photographer at the same birth?+
Yes, and after 400+ births, the rhythm is second nature. Support always comes first: my hands are on you when you need them, and the camera comes up in the in-between moments, the quiet, the anticipation, the first cry. Families are consistently amazed at what I captured while never leaving their side.
Why book the combined package instead of a separate doula and photographer?+
One fewer stranger in the room, one on-call schedule instead of two, one person who already knows your birth plan intimately, and someone who's already welcome in delivery rooms where cameras are often restricted. It's also a better investment than booking both services separately.
What if I need your full support and there's no moment for photos?+
Then you get my full support, and that's always the promise. In practice, even the most intense births have quiet passages, and those are often the most powerful photographs. The camera never competes with you.
Which hospitals allow birth photography?+
Policies vary by hospital and situation, and staff discretion matters. This is where my decade of relationships shows: I'm known and trusted at Kelowna General, Vernon Jubilee and Penticton Regional, and I navigate each team's comfort level respectfully.
One person. Both callings. Your whole story.
